Slum Towers

Rob O. The band has a smooth, energetic, fun, experimental sound. Love the guitar work, especially on Trains, Chains and Stomach Pains, sounding somewhat like a tango. Violinist drives the music along and adds an aura of eloquence. Song titles are quirky but that's what also lends to the charm of this original recording. Favorite track: Ramadan.

Recorded Sept. 6 and 7th 2009 @ Ogre Studios by John Raham

Winner of the 2010 Galaxie Rising Star Award, the Pugs and Crows' dramatic, cinematic music draws inspiration from experimental forms of Eastern European folk and modern jazz. The group performs original music with departures into inventive, free improvisations.
